Must be a Parkside Member. Responsible for overall management of room & for your own small group. See Preschool small group leader below for additional responsibilities. The Room Leader will also teach the Gospel lesson on Friday. | 5-Day |
Preschool/ 26 needed |
Responsible for small group of children (6-10 total); greet parents and children each morning as they arrive. Handle administrative tasks (pick-up authorization notes, sign-out sheets, attendance, etc.). Assist with daily classroom activities (learning centers, crafts, snacks, memory verse work, completion of student manuals, passing out stickers, reading the Bible, etc.). Training provided in advance. | 5-Day |
1st-5th Grade 48 needed |
Responsible for small group of children (6-12 total); greet parents and children each morning as they arrive. Handle administrative tasks (pick-up authorization notes, sign-out sheets, attendance, etc.). Follow daily schedule for designated small group. Lead small group time with completion of student manuals, reading the Bible, reviewing memory verses, passing out stickers, praying and talking with the children about the daily spiritual truths. Training provided in advance. | 5 days |
Outdoor Recreation 10-12 needed |
Directing games at a designated position throughout the week of VBC. Games will be provided and explained to recreation leaders in advance. Must be athletically inclined, willing to work outside in all types of weather (heat, light rain, etc). Appropriate casual attire expected. | 5 days |
Music 6-8 needed |
Musical ability required, vocally and/or instrumentally. Must be comfortable leading in front of large groups with enthusiasm and expression. Traveling preschool teams (with song leader and accompanist) and elementary teams needed. Music provided in advance along with any training necessary to effectively guide children in learning songs. | 5 days |
Crafts 10 needed |
Enjoyment of crafts and assisting children is a must. Ability to demonstrate crafts and give clear instructions a plus. Crafts will be chosen in advance and training provided. | Monday- Thursday |
Mini-VBC |
Caring for children under 2 years of age and/or working with children ages 2-3 in classrooms, utilizing provided curriculum in age-appropriate activities. Assisting with Bible time, music, memory verses, recreation, games, and playing. | 1-5 day commitment |
Prayer Team |
For those who can’t commit to serving during the week of VBC but who will commit to pray that Christ will be glorified in all that we do; that the Lord will guide and bless this week; that children (and their families) will clearly hear the Gospel message and be saved; that saved children (and families) will be encouraged to grow in their faith; that the weather will be good (not too hot and no rain in the mornings); that workers will be studying God’s Word and be prepared each day to serve with joy. |

Sunday Set-up Crew |
For those who can’t commit to serving during the week but would have a couple of hours following the evening service the Sunday night before VBC starts. Assist with setting up the stage, building props, extra tables, etc. |

For those who can’t commit to serving during the week but would have a couple of hours on Friday (the last day of VBC) to assist with cleaning the building. |

Youth Assistant, Small Groups 90 needed |
(Finished with sixth grade – age seventeen) Assisting small group leader with daily tasks, such as attendance, keeping group together, helping with small group time, running errands (as directed by adult leader). Some youth assistants are needed to serve as a 1:1 friend to a child with special needs. Please indicate on sign-up registration if interested in this role. Must have a Parkside adult contact and attend mandatory orientation meeting in June. |

Must be in high school (9th grade completed); assisting adult recreation leaders in managing games at designated position. Must be athletically inclined, willing to work outside in all types of weather (heat, light rain, etc). Appropriate casual attire expected. Must have a Parkside adult contact and attend mandatory Recreation orientation meeting. |
