Serve with Children's Ministry
Two of the core blocks that make up a Christ-centered children’s ministry are the Word of God and the people who serve.
In a 2015 survey, the National Association of Evangelicals found that 63% of Christians accepted Jesus Christ as Savior between the ages of 4-14. This stage of life provides a wonderful window of opportunity for the church! Many children begin their faith journey when they are young because of a Christ-centered Children’s Ministry. Truly, the children in our church are our local mission field.
Every Sunday at Parkside, we care for and serve 400-500 children in our morning and evening services. This requires a lot of volunteer hands!
Currently, we are seeking volunteers to serve in our morning children’s classes or our evening ministry (our nursery teams are different and are currently staffed through the end of 2024).
What would a serving commitment mean?
All volunteers serve for one year, from September 8 through July 2025. Serving in the morning is different from the evening, and you can choose the options below that work for you!
Morning Service Options: (ages 2-grade 5):
-
Weekly, as a teacher or helper, during one service
-
Every-other-week during one service. Partner with a friend who will serve on weeks opposite of you! This means you have a built-in sub if you need to be away.
Evening Service (Mission Kids, ages 3.5 to grade 3):
-
Once/month on a team as either a group leader or group helper.
