  • Building Connections Through English and Coffee

    Forty-two hours of travel isn’t the most ideal way to begin a ten-day long missions trip. With three plane rides and a 12-hour layover in another European country in their sights, the team set off. Comprised of various ages, occupations, and stages of life, they were brought together by one common goal: the desire to make Christ known in a country that desperately needed Him.

     The team of young adults were headed to Skopje (SKOP-ee-ya), Macedonia, to teach English to the people there. Only three had experienced teaching a class before, and one of those was a pastor! The anticipation of what was to come brought many worries and questions from the rest. What would teaching the class look like? Would anyone even be willing to meet with them? Would they be able to share the gospel, and how would they do it?

  • Hurricane Sandy Relief Partnership

    By now all of us have heard of the devastation that hurricane Sandy has caused on the East Coast.  Over 100 people have lost their lives and over 4 million are without power.  As a result of this catastrophic event Parkside Church will be collecting financial donations to help those who have been affected by the tragedy.   

  • Building Into the Next Generation: Gospel Impact in Our Region

    Last week, 50 kids from Parkside Church teamed up with an additional 185 kids from around the country to serve our neighbors in the Northeast Ohio communities of Bedford, Bedford Heights, Walton Hills, and Euclid. Under the guidance of student missions organization, World Changers, members of Parkside's youth ministries painted, re-roofed, and performed other light construction jobs on 26 sites in the area.

  • Mexico Dental Missions Trip Report

    Seven of us traveled from Cleveland, Ohio, to Oaxaca, Mexico, for the week of September 19 to September 26, 2009. Joined by missionaries, dentists, pastors and translators, we became one team, united in the effort to share the love of Christ and provide dental care. Our three days in the mountains outside of Oaxaca provided numerous lessons in contrast.
