Parkside News
Thank You, Brandon Smith
This week we said goodbye to one of our Pastoral Team members, Brandon Smith. Brandon started at Parkside as a pastoral resident in 2013 and joined the pastoral team upon completion of the residency. He and his wife, Whitney, are moving to Brandon’s hometown of Cincinnati, where Whitney recently accepted a position as a nurse practitioner. Brandon will pursue his passion to teach theology and philosophy in the academic arena.
For the past seven years, Brandon has served as the pastor over various ministries including middle school, young adults, care ministries, community involvement, and has led a Sunday Morning Group.
"I am thankful for the many different ministry roles Parkside has given me, and for the people that allowed me to be a part of their lives, said Brandon. They often invited me into their lives through sad, stressful, celebratory, or discipleship situations, and I am incredibly honored and grateful for those opportunities. If I could say anything to pastoral team and congregation, it would be to thank them for allowing me the opportunity to grow as a leader, teacher, and preacher, and for encouraging and praying for me."
Parkside is also thankful for the time Brandon has spent with us. We pray for Brandon and Whitney as they move to Cincinnati to begin this next chapter.
