Details: Mark and Patti praise God for the meaningful work in Bible translation that fills their days. A new Bible translation project with four other Quechua languages was funded in November, which means Mark has his work cut out for him for years to come. Pray that Mark will keep a healthy life balance as this new project takes off. Pray for continued progress towards health and healing for grandson, Jeremiah. Continue to pray for both their daughter, Emily, as she heals and for Blake, who does so much to care for the family. Praise the Lord for the intermittent help Emily and Blake’s local church and colleagues continue to provide. Eritrea (Africa). Population: 3,817,651 Believers: 2.1%. The Christian Church faces terrible ongoing persecution, both outside the recognized churches and, to some degree, within. Many leaders and lay members are in prison, and more are under house arrest; the government has seized many church assets.
