Details: As their four high school graduates transition to college and jobs, pray that they would grow deeper in their walk with Jesus. Praise the Lord for two teens who were baptized in May. Pray that they will be encouraged by the Lord as they continue to obey him, having taken this initial step. As their leaders wrap up spring ministry and transition into the busyness of summer ministry, pray that they can find rest. Continue to pray for the development of leaders in various ministries and for the identification and training of new elders. Guadeloupe (Caribbean). Population: 396,346 Believers: 4.3%. Christianity is a cultural veneer for most. The rapid growth of sects and evangelical groups highlights the spiritual emptiness. Occultism and magic are widespread influences. Pray for the Holy Spirit to convict of sin and bring many to true repentance. Guam (Pacific). Population: 174,114 Believers: 14.2%. Guam is the hub of Micronesia, and as such, the population is multicultural and diverse. There is spiritual and church growth among many of the immigrant communities, including the Chinese, Koreans, and Filipinos. Micronesian groups have dozens of churches, although their more isolated villages and their tribal culture present an evangelistic challenge. The continued influence of cultural and animistic traditions holds back their discipleship. With such ethnic and denominational variety, unity is an important issue and a need for prayer.
