Details: They thank God for the success of their first Parkside Heights Youth Retreat! Pray that those who attended the retreat will continue to grow in faith and love for one another. This month, many college students will be leaving for spring break, and some will be involved in short term mission trips. Keep them all in prayer as they travel and pray for good spiritual conversations. Peru (Latin America). Population: 34,683,444 Believers: 11.6%. The Quechua and Aymara peoples, descendants of the Incas, are emerging from centuries of oppression, cultural deprivation, grinding poverty, and isolation. The Quechua church is flourishing as Christianity at last becomes indigenized in Scriptures, structures, worship, and music. Whole villages are turning to Christ. Pray for: a) Millions of mountain Quechua and Aymara still bound by superstitions of pagan and “Christian” origin; b) Bible translation has been a major factor in the Quechuan renaissance and church growth. Pray for the translation teams at work and for widespread use of these new resources; c) The full reconciliation between Quechua and Spanish speakers at the foot of the cross, and the full integration of all ethnic groups into national Christian life.
