- Details: Chris and Leanne are preparing to return to the U.S. for a year and are transferring the ministry duties to others on the field. Please pray these transitions will go smoothly and for those taking on new responsibilities. Pray also for their kids as they leave their school and friends in Japan. Pray they will have grace for each other during this time when so many emotions need to be worked out. Pray for their family as they pack up their house and move things into storage on May 27. They are thankful for our prayers throughout these past four years and look forward to seeing us soon. Chile (Latin America). Population: 19,658,839 Believers: 18.4%. Student witness needs strengthening in the 54 universities and colleges and among the 500,000 students. Chile’s evangelicals need to focus much more on reaching and discipling young people. Systematic inequalities and underinvestment in education prompted massive student demonstrations in 2006, which in turn forced government reforms.
