- Details: As they continue reading and preaching through the Bible as a church, pray that the Lord will fill them with awe at the power, majesty, and goodness of his Word. They are grateful for God’s provision in the past and ask for prayer as their staff and elders work through a budget for the next fiscal year. Their benevolence team is also reworking some of the benevolence policies and their vision for mercy ministry. Pray that the Lord will provide wisdom on how to best help individuals and families. One of their missionaries is having some visa problems; pray that he will find favor in the eyes of government officials. Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of China) (Asia). Population: 7,496,681 Believers: 6.1%. The massive protests of 2019 seem a distant memory as Beijing’s grip on Hong Kong has relentlessly squeezed out all effective opposition to its control. Divisions in the Church over the protests and associated politics need to be healed and believers need to be reconciled. Although the setbacks to Hong Kong’s freedoms can be discouraging, believers in China itself have demonstrated that the flame of the gospel cannot be snuffed out by even the most brutal oppression.
