Details: Following a large earthquake earlier this year, Chris asked for prayers for the people of Ishikawa, Japan. Since then, their mission (SEND) and their church in Japan (SBBC) have been working to help support local pastor, Arakawa, and Wajima Bible Church, with their relief and recovery work. Recently, there has been significant flooding in the area, flooding homes that survived the earthquake and affecting temporary housing. Pray the Lord would give the church in Japan more ways to be his hands and feet, caring for the needs of the people of Ishikawa. May the Lord be glorified by his children showing his love and may this open doors for them to share God's Word and the gospel with those receiving care. Pray that people will open their hearts and lives to the only true hope, found in Christ. Isle of Man (Europe). Population: 80,000. Isle of Man has a long Christian tradition, but just as in the UK, nominalism is rife and non-religion is growing. Pray that the Church will continue to strive to bring people back into the fold and that the Isle of Man might see an awakening. Channel Islands (Europe). Population: 150,000. The relative prosperity and an emphasis on material wealth have inevitably blunted the spiritual life of the islands; pray for an awakening.
