Details: Pray for boldness and opportunity to share Christ with students in this unique time of hurricane recovery. Praise God that the majority of students did not experience flooding. Pray for wisdom to know how to best help the physical and emotional needs of students who experienced loss. Pray for the city, churches, and organizations as they draw up long-term relief plans. Pray especially for low-income neighborhoods that were affected. Pray for the Ackerson’s to know how to best come alongside churches during this time, and not become overly fatigued with the ongoing need. Pray for Emily as she coaches Bridges teams regionally and Blake as he leads locally.  Kazakhstan. Theirs is a folk Islam strongly influenced by shamanistic practices. Other Muslim countries invest huge amounts of money to send Muslim missionaries- some are effective even in converting Russians to Islam. The number of registered mosques grew from 46 in 1989 to 1,282 in 2002. Traditional Islam is on the rise, even trendy in some sectors, despite the government actively opposing radical Islam. Orthodox Christianity is perceived as the religion of Russians, as evangelicals are often regarded as dangerous sects. Pray for this misconception to be broken; pray for freedom from historic spiritual bondages and prejudices.
