How are Christians good for the world? The answer Jesus gives in this passage is as essential as it is astonishing—Christians are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. If we are in Christ, we have been given the immense responsibility to exemplify Christ and offer hope to the world through the way that we live. There is light in the darkness and hope for the world when we live lives that are seen to be shaped by the King.
