Jesus, Demons, and Pigs, Oh My
When Jesus cast a legion of demons from a man, he demonstrated His authority over evil and His ability to give new life. The demons acknowledged Jesus' as Lord, but hated Him. The locals begged Jesus to leave. The disciples, who witnessed the event, might have looked on the scene with fear and amazement. As we consider Luke's account of this miracle, we should also be awed by the saving power of Jesus and the immense value that the Savior places on every soul held captive to sin.
