A Life Governed by the Gospel
Paul calls believers to remember that God’s power and presence is at work in our lives, equipping us to do his will. In Philippians 4, Paul implores the church to respond to God’s work in our lives— to strive for unity, rejoice in the Lord continually, to show gentleness to all, to pray through anxiety, and finally, to strive to live with consistency, knowing that the God of peace has promised to be with us. Because of him, we can cultivate thankfulness as we pursue a life that is governed by the gospel.
