Marriage: Sacrifice Required

Morning Service
Mar 15, 2015

Peter's first letter to the church instructs us to live holy lives amid a world that does not know God. In marriage, Christians are to follow Christ's example, living sacrificially for the sake of their spouse. This message provides practical guidance on what that looks like in today's culture. A wife should support her husband by following his leadership, knowing what true beauty is, and relying on godly role models for help. A husband should serve his wife by studying her, honoring her, and praying with her. Sounds difficult? It is, but believers can rely on God for the power to love their spouse and develop their marriage relationship in a way that honors Him.
