Staying Awake for What?
Warnings to stay awake, be on guard, and be prepared abound in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. In this study of Isaiah 65:17-25, we explore answers to the question, “For what are we staying awake?” In this world, great expectations often result in great disappointment. Because of Christ’s faithfulness, however, Christians can eagerly anticipate His return and trust God’s promises of a new home with Him and joyful purpose in life, free from the weight of sin, suffering, and death.
