Who Benefits From Jesus?
Who benefits from Jesus? Guest speaker, Christopher Ash asks this question as he considers Christ’s public ministry in His hometown of Nazareth. Initially proud to claim Jesus’ fame, the Nazarenes marveled at His words and eagerly anticipated miracles. Excitement turned to rejection, though, once they realized that Jesus didn’t come to make them feel good about themselves. The same holds true today—Jesus comes not for those who think they’ve got it together, but for those who recognize their desperate need of a savior.
