Every fall for the past 37 years, Parkside Church has helped provide complete Thanksgiving dinners to families in the Cleveland area. Boxes filled with non-perishable food and a whole roasting turkey are hand-delivered to those who might otherwise be unable to enjoy the holiday with a traditional meal.

We invite you and your family to join us as we partner with Scranton Road Bible Church to make this Thanksgiving Day brighter for more than 250 families.

4 Ways to Help

1. Prepare a Dinner Box by Nov. 16 

Pick up a box from the storage room across from the bookstore/café beginning Sunday, Oct. 22, fill it with the food listed below, and return it to the same storage room by Thursday, Nov. 16. Update: All boxes have been taken. Please consider donating toward a turkey or helping with box delivery!

2. Donate Money for a Turkey

Help cover the cost of the turkey given to each family with their dinner box. Make your check payable to Parkside Church, with “Box Project” on the memo line, or give online and designate “Thanksgiving/Christmas Benevolence."

3. Load the Truck on Saturday, Nov. 18, 8AM

10-12 people with strong backs are needed at Parkside Church on Nov. 18 for less than an hour to load the boxes into trucks for transfer to SRBC. Sign up on the sheets outside the box collection room to volunteer.

4. Help Distribute the Boxes on Saturday, Nov. 18, 10am-Noon, ALL AGES ARE WELCOME! 

Join us November 18 at Scranton Road Bible Church (3095 Scranton Rd. Cleveland, 44143) to help with box & turkey distribution. No need to call, just meet inside the church at 10:00 am for instructions. Afterward, you will be given 2-3 boxes and go with a small group of others to deliver them to homes near the church. We will not enter homes when delivering boxes.

Directions to Scranton Road Bible Church

Take 480 (east or west) to 176 North. Travel on 176 North approximately 2.25 miles to the West 14th Street exit and go north. When you get to Clark Avenue (about .4 mile), turn left. In about .5 mile you will arrive at Scranton Road. Scranton Road Bible Church will be on the corner.

1 muffin mix

1 roll mix

2 cans of vegetables

2 cans of fruit

1 large box of instant potatoes

1 large can of yams

1 large box of stuffing mix

1 dessert mix (cake, frosting, cookies, pies, etc.)

1 package of pudding mix

1 jar of pickles

1 jar/can of olives

1 can cranberry sauce

1 small box of rice

1 can of black beans

1 jar/can of turkey gravy

1 turkey roasting bag

1 disposable turkey roasting pan

Please keep the roasting pan outside your box. We will stack them all together.

Optional Extra Items

Soup (2 cans), cereal (1 small box), rice and beans, jelly (small jar), peanut butter (small jar), coffee, tea, or cocoa (1 small container.) Please only non-perishable food items—no paper products or toiletries. Sorry, no homemade products.
