  • Thanksgiving Box Project 2019 UPDATE

Thank you to those who have picked up boxes to fill! If you have a box from us, please plan on bringing it back to the church by Wednesday, Nov. 20.

If you weren’t able to pick up a box this year, there are still three other ways to help: by donating money for a turkey, loading the truck, or distributing meals. Pick up a form from any info center or visit parksidechurch.com/thanksgiving for details.

    Thank you for your generosity!

  • Thanksgiving Box Project 2019

This year marks the 33rd year that Parkside Church has endeavored to provide complete Thanksgiving dinners to families who might otherwise be unable to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday. There are several ways you and your family can participate in this fun and meaningful project that not only bestows kindness and love to our neighbors, but also brings together our church family through this service opportunity. Join us this November as we partner with Scranton Road Bible Church to help make the holiday season brighter for families in Cleveland. Approximately 300 boxes will be needed.

  • Good Tidings Benefit Choir recruiting voices for 30th annual fundraiser for the Geauga Hunger Task Force!

The autumn colors are beginning to show. Soon after, we will be enjoying the holidays. But not everyone can look forward to these days with joy. One in six in Ohio are food insecure. One in nine in Geauga County cannot count on their next meal.

How would you like to truly help your neighbors by singing?

It is time again for the voices of the Good Tiding Benefit Choir to come together to raise spirits and funds for the Geauga Hunger Task Force. All practices will be held at Notre Dame Chapel, 13000 Auburn Road in Munson, Ohio. Sundays 2 pm - 4 pm. This year is special as it is the choir’s 30th anniversary and we celebrate our continuing success in caring for our neighbors.

    Stand In for Homeless Children

    Location: Public Square, Cleveland
    Start Time: Sat 29, June 2019, 4 p.m.
    End Time: Sat 29, June 2019, 7 p.m.

SEE: There are about 3,000 school-age children experiencing homelessness so far this year in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. They're threatened by a cycle of poverty that leaves them stigmatized and struggling for normalcy – with little hope of escape. Right now, it’s imperative that the Church has eyes to see this crisis.

STAND: Members from every church in greater Cleveland are invited to stand in Public Square on Saturday June 29th to represent each homeless student in our city. And we won’t simply be raising awareness – we’ll be transforming awareness into action.

SERVE: Join The City Mission and serve your young, hurting neighbors by participating on June 29th and in the days to follow. This event will include live worship, prayer, food trucks, activities for families, and more! There is no cost to attend.

    Schedule of Events:

4-5:30 Family Friendly Activities, Engagement with Community Partners, Food Trucks, Entertainment

    5:30-6 Guest Speakers

6-6:30 Gather for Stand In & Stand In Moment

    6:30-7 Devotional Message & Worship

Pastor Jawanza Colvin of Olivet Institutional Baptist Church & Pastor Jonathan Schaeffer of Grace Church Middleburg Heights will be sharing a pastoral challenge about joining God in His pursuit of these nearly 3,000 children.
