Funeral

Our funeral meals ministry serves grieving families during their time of loss. Volunteers prepare one part of a meal (cookbook provided) on short notice and bring it to the church or help serve the meal following a funeral or memorial service.

Help for the Bereaved

This ministry provides a meal for up to 50 people after a funeral service. This service is free to all Parkside members and friends when members of their family die who are not involved in another church.

Volunteers

This ministry does not involve a regularly scheduled block of time. The commitment varies with the need but on average, a person is called upon to serve once every 4-8 weeks. As a member of this ministry you may volunteer to:
1) Prepare a dish and drop it off or
2) Serve a meal on a buffet line

Three Avenues of Care Through Our Meals Ministry

In any significant change of circumstances–welcoming a new baby, dealing with or recovering from an illness, or losing a loved one–the regular routines of life become disrupted. Parkside’s meal ministry seeks to provide practical care in these circumstances, offering extra support to families during new or difficult seasons of life. For volunteers, it provides a way to tangibly show others the love of Jesus and the care of the body of Christ.
